After two seasons as a defensive assistant, Connor Embree will begin his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs as an offensive quality control coach in 2021.
Embree worked largely with the defensive backs in 2020, which included AP All-Pro S Tyrann Mathieu, who led all safeties in the NFL with six interceptions, and rookie CB L’Jarius Sneed, who was rated Pro Football Focus’ top rookie CB in the NFL.
Embree mostly worked with a linebacking squad that accounted for 5.5 sacks and 275 tackles in his debut season with the Chiefs.
Before entering the professional ranks, he worked as a graduate assistant on Coach David Beaty’s staff at the University of Kansas, where he worked with the offense and special teams.
He also served as the offensive coordinator at Blue Valley West High School and the wide receivers coach at Fairview High School in high school.
