Cooper Rush is the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback in the National Football League. He is 102 kg in weight and 1.91 m tall. He played high school football at Lansing Catholic High School, where he attended. As a senior, he received several honors, including All-State, Michigan Division 5/6 Player of the Year by the Associated Press, and Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year by ESPN.

He had 1,438 running yards and 27 rushing touchdowns by the time he finished his high school career. He also had 7,248 passing yards and 80 passing touchdowns. He finished both his undergraduate work and his football career at Central Michigan University. During his redshirt season, he was chosen as Central Michigan’s Scout Team Player of the Year.

His best season came as a junior in 2015, when he had 3,703 throwing yards after the first 13 games, setting a new single-season record for the school. He made 49 consecutive starts, accumulated 12,894 passing yards, and scored 90 touchdowns throughout his college career. After the 2017 NFL Draft in May, the Dallas Cowboys signed Rush as an undrafted free agent.

He returned to the Cowboys in March 2020 on a one-year restricted free agent tender. He was taken off waivers by the New York Giants in May 2020. Rush joined the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad in October 2020. On September 17, 2022, he was added to the active roster in order to replace Dak Prescott as the starter.
