During the 2018 season, he appeared in all 14 games and started a dozen of them. He returned to Oklahoma in 2019 and 2020 as the starting centre for the Sooners and was honoured as the offensive lineman of the year for the Big 12 Conference in both of those years.
In addition, he was selected as the starting guard for the Sooners in both of those years. Humphrey made a statement after the end of the 2020 season that
he will not be returning to school for his final year of eligibility and will instead join the 2021 NFL Draft. The decision comes after the completion of the 2020 season.
