He enrolled early and spent five seasons playing for the Fighting Irish. He started as a sophomore and had 31 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble by the time he was a junior. After suffering a shoulder injury four games into his senior season, he used a medical redshirt.
He finished the year with 17 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, an interception, and two forced fumbles in his fifth season back. He was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In May 2021, he signed a contract with the Ravens.
