For the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, Dakoda Shepley is an offensive tackle who is Canadian. He is 144 kg in weight and 1.96 m tall. As a sophomore, he started playing football as a student at Holy Names High School. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the University of British Columbia, where he played college football for the UBC Thunderbirds. 2013 rookie year saw him redshirt.
His involvement in the team’s Vanier Cup victory as a sophomore helped it happen. He received the Canada West right tackle all-star honor as a senior. The New York Jets acquired Shepley after the 2018 NFL Draft as an undrafted free agent.
In 2018, he participated in training camp and three preseason games with the Jets. On August 31, 2018, the jets released him. The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League chose him with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft, despite the fact that he had been signed by the New York Jets a week earlier. He inked a contract with the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL in August 2020.
He was let go by the 49ers in August 2021. In September 2021, the Seattle Seahawks claimed him off waivers. On August 31, 2022, the Seahawks released him as part of the team’s last round of roster cuts. On September 1, 2022, he was added to the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad.
