Dance Tim Feerick, Gavin Dance’s longtime bassist, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, according to a statement released by the band.
The statement reads; “We are absolutely devastated to share the news that our friend and bass player, Tim Feerick, passed away last night.
We ask that you respect our privacy and that of Tim‘s family while we deal with this heartbreaking and untimely loss.
We will share further updates on Swanfest and our upcoming touring schedule as we have them.”
Feerick, who played bass guitar on Dance Gavin Dance’s most recent album, Afterburner, released last year, had been a member of the band for a decade after joining in 2009 and leaving the following year.
In 2012, he rejoined the post-hardcore band, replacing bassist Eric Lodge.
Feerick also contributes to the Dance Gavin Dance projects Artificial Selection (2018), Mothership (2016), Instant Gratification (2015), and Acceptance Speech (2015), in addition to Afterburner (2013).
