Dante Fowler Jr.

Dante Antwane Fowler Jr. is an American football defensive end who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. He was born on August 3, 1994.

He attended Florida University and was on the football team there. During the 2015 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars made the third overall selection, which was Fowler.

Due to an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), he was sidelined for the entirety of his rookie year. Fowler had his secondary education at Lakewood High School in St.

Petersburg, Florida, where he excelled in both football and track and field. After playing his senior season, Fowler was invited to participate in 2012 Under Armour All-America Game and received an honourable

mention on the football team that Sports Illustrated selected for their All-American team. Shot put was one of Fowler’s specialities on the track, and he achieved a personal best throw of 14.32 meters (47 ft).

Fowler had 30 tackles, including eight for a loss and 2.5 sacks during his freshman year at the University of Florida.

Many freshman all-American teams had him on their rosters, including his own. In 2014, he made the decision to become a more explosive edge player, and as a result, he reduced his weight from 277 to 261.

On November 19, 2014, Fowler revealed through Twitter that he would be leaving the university alongside Will Muschamp, who had just announced that he would be stepping down as head coach.
