Germain Gigounon is a tennis coach and former player who hails from Belgium. He was born on April 20, 1989. Gigounon reached a career-high ATP singles rating of World No. 191 in July of 2015,
while he reached a career-high ATP doubles ranking of No. 253 in March 2015. Both of these rankings were attained in 2015.
Gigounon has been victorious in the ITF singles competition nine times and in the ITF doubles competition thirteen times.
At the 2015 French Open, Gigounon made his first appearance in the main draw of a grand slam tournament. In order to get to the main draw, he had to win matches over Rui Machado, Alexander Kudryavtsev, and Alejandro Falla.
David Goffin will have Gigounon as his coach beginning in November 2020. Ysaline Bonaventure and Yanina Wickmayer were two of the athletes that he coached in the past.
