David Trimble was a British politician who was the first First Minister of Northern Ireland from 1998 to 2002, and the leader of the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) from 1995 to 2005.

Between the years 1956 and 1963, he studied at Bangor Grammar School. George Trimble, Trimble’s paternal grandpa, was born in Easkey, which is located in County Sligo. His parents, William Trimble and Mary Burns were parents of George.

Between the years of 1964 and 1968, he attended Queen’s University of Belfast (QUB), where he was honored with the McKane Medal for Jurisprudence during his time there.

He became a Bachelor of Laws after graduating with the highest honors from Queen’s University, which was the first time this had happened at the university in three years (LL.B).

Soon after losing the general election in 2005, Trimble quit his position as head of the Ulster Unionist Party (UUP). In June of 2006, he made the decision to accept a life peerage in the House of Lords, where he would take the title of Baron Trimble, of Lisnagarvey in the County of Antrim.

He did not run for election to the Assembly again when it was ultimately reconstituted in 2007, although he did switch parties, going from the UUP to the Conservative Party.

David Trimble Children: Meet Victoria Trimble, Sarah Trimble, Nicholas Trimble and Richard Trimble

The late David Tremble is survived by his four children who are Victoria Trimble, Sarah Trimble, Nicholas Trimble, and Richard Trimble. The politician David Trimble has been married twice, and their unions have resulted in the birth of four children.

Heather McComb was Trimble’s first wife. The couple wed in 1968 and divorced in 1976, after having been married for a total of eight years. On the other hand, he and she do not share any children together.

Daphne Elizabeth, who became his second wife, is the mother of all four of his children. In point of fact, Daphne was one of David’s students in the past.

She has a background in politics and also works as a professor in Northern Ireland. The year 1978 was the year of the couple’s wedding, and they had four children: two sons and two daughters.

Because David Trimble’s first marriage did not produce any children, Heather McComb is the mother of all four of David’s children. David’s first marriage ended in divorce.
