The American player of Nigerian descent was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
In order to choose Nnadi, the Chiefs dealt their third-round selection (86th overall) and a fourth-round pick (122nd overall) to the Baltimore Ravens for the Ravens’ third-round pick (75th overall).
The 2018 Senior Bowl invitation was accepted by Nnadi, it was revealed on December 9, 2017. According to a rumor from January 19, 2018, Nnadi would be unable to compete in the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl due to an undisclosed ailment.
Nnadi participated in the Indianapolis NFL Scouting Combine and finished all of the positional drills. His whole performance was deemed subpar, which hurt his draft prospects. At Florida State’s pro day on March 20, 2018, Nnadi selected to compete in the short shuttle (4.97 seconds) and vertical jump (25.5″).
Nnadi recorded his first career interception off Philip Rivers in Week 11 of the 2019 campaign during Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers in the 24-17 victory.
The Chiefs eventually defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV to claim their first victory in 50 years. Nnadi re-signed with the Chiefs on March 20, 2022.
