Traci was described by her family as “a shining star, a lovely daughter, an outstanding sister, a loving mother, wife, grandma, and a respected performer.”
Traci also had a musical career, beginning with The Braxtons, a band she created with her sisters. In 1989, Arista Records signed the Braxtons to a record deal.
Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and Traci joined Toni on tour as backup singers after she quit the group to pursue a solo career.
She also released the hit song “Last Call” in 2014, which charted at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. She recorded “Broken Things” with her sisters Toni, Towanda, and Trina four years later.
