Dominique Raheem Mostert is a running back for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League and was born on April 9, 1992.
At Purdue, he played collegiate football.
While attending New Smyrna Beach High School in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Mostert competed in football and track. Two postseason appearances for New Smyrna Beach were led by Mostert. He transferred to Purdue University after his last year.
Mostert established a school record in his first year of college by averaging 33.5 yards in returns, culminating in a 99-yard touchdown return in the bowl game.
At the end of the season, he had seven returns of 39 yards or more, including two of 81 yards at Indiana and 74 yards at Wisconsin. When Mostert returned five kickoffs for 206 yards against the Badgers, he shattered the school records for both total yards and average yards per return.
After going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, Mostert signed on with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent.
His 351 total yards from the line of scrimmage, which included 157 rushing yards and 191 receiving yards, led the NFL in the preseason.
On September 6, 2015, Mostert joined the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad.
During the first game of the 49ers’ 2021 season, Mostert suffered a cartilage chip in his left knee. He missed the rest of the season and had surgery in October.
He signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins this winter, but he was still recovering when spring training began.
He is a good baseball player and has previously played for football teams including Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and the Chicago Bears. Mostert agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins on March 17, 2022.
