Steve Spagnuolo

No, there is no record of Steve Spagnuolo ever playing in the NFL.

Stephen Christopher Spagnuolo (born December 21, 1959) is an American football coach who currently serves as the defensive coordinator for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs.

After working as a defensive assistant for Andy Reid from 1999 to 2006, he returned to him. As a defensive coordinator, Spagnuolo has won two Super Bowls, one with the New York Giants and the other with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Spagnuolo holds the distinction of being the first offensive or defensive coordinator in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two separate teams.

After two seasons with the Giants, he spent three seasons as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams, then worked as an assistant with the Baltimore Ravens, a one-season stint with the New Orleans Saints, and then returned to the Giants as defensive coordinator in 2015.

After the previous head coach, Ben McAdoo was fired on December 4, 2017, he was named temporary head coach.

Spagnuolo has also served as an assistant coach for the University of Connecticut, the University of Maine, Lafayette College, Rutgers University, Bowling Green University, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst in college football.

He also worked in the World League of American Football and its successor, the NFL Europe.
