Geoffrey Edward Blum (born April 26, 1973) is a former Major League Baseball infielder who played with the Montreal Expos, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, and Arizona Diamondbacks, among others.
He is now the Houston Astros’ TV color analyst.
He studied in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, and was a member of the California Golden Bears baseball team before becoming a professional baseball player.
He played collegiate summer baseball with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Brewster Whitecaps in 1993.
The Montreal Expos picked him in the seventh round of the 1994 amateur draft, and he began his professional career with them.
During his stint with the Expos, he spent the winter of 1995 with the Hunter Eagles of the Australian Baseball League.
