Who is Dylan Carlson?
Dylan James Carlson was born in Elk Grove, California, and is a professional baseball outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball.
After being selected by the Cardinals in the first round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, he quickly rose to become one of the game’s top prospects before making his Major League Baseball debut in 2020.
The organization promoted him to starting right fielder in 2021, and he was a finalist for the National League Rookie of the Year award the following season.
Dylan Carlson attended Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove, California, where he played baseball under the tutelage of his father, Jeff.
He shared the field with Nick Madrigal, Rowdy Tellez, Dom Nunez, and Derek Hill, among others. He joined the varsity team as a 14-year-old freshman and has not looked back since.
With nine home runs and 40 RBIs in 36 games as a senior, he also had a 6-0 record with a 1.44 earned run average while pitching for the Tigers’ baseball team.
