Timothy Edward Butler is a professional baseball pitcher from the United States who currently plays for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League.

Butler was born on March 13, 1991. The Colorado Rockies, the Chicago Cubs, and the Texas Rangers were among the teams he played for in Major League Baseball in the past.

In addition, he was a member of the NC Dinos and played in the KBO League. In the 35th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft, Butler was selected by the Texas Rangers to join their organization.

He decided not to sign and instead attended Radford University, where he was a member of the Radford Highlanders baseball team and continued his education.

In 2011, he was a member of the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League, where he played college baseball during the summer.

In the first round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2012, Butler was selected by the Colorado Rockies to play for their team.

2013 marked the year that he made his debut in the majors, and it was with the Grand Junction Rockies of the Pioneer League’s Rookie level.

After posting a 7–1 record with a 2.13 earned run average and 55 strikeouts for Grand Junction, he was selected for the All-Star team.

In 2014, he was given a promotion to play for the Tulsa Drillers, but at the end of the season, he was sent back down to the minor league team.
