Eli Morgan is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
His 2019 season started with Lynchburg before being promoted to the Akron RubberDucks of the Class AA Eastern League in May, where he was named an All-Star at the halfway point of the season.
The Class AAA International League’s Columbus Clippers signed him in July, and he made one start before being sent to Akron, where he concluded the season.
Morgan had a 9–6 record with a 3.39 ERA in 25 starts with the three teams, striking out 146 batters in 140+2/3 innings (9.3 strikeouts per 9 innings).
He threw the most innings for the Indians’ minor leaguers, was second in strikeouts, and was selected a MiLB.com and MLB.com All-Star.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the minor league season in 2020 was canceled, and Morgan spent the season at the team’s Lake County Alternate Training Site.
Baseball America named him the top Indians minor league pitcher in terms of changeup and control once more.

Professional baseball pitcher, Eli Morgan was born to his parents Diana Morgan (mother) and Dave Morgan (father). Dave Morgan, Eli’s father, used to work for the Los Angeles Times as a deputy sports editor.
His parents gave to another sibling named Briana who hapens to be Eli Morgan’s sister.
