Fletcher was allegedly forced into a black SUV while being chased early on Friday morning while jogging near the University of Memphis. Authorities discovered surveillance footage of the area where her phone was discovered after her husband reported her missing and a black GMC Terrain is supposedly seen passing by her in the film.
According to the footage included in the complaint, a man was then seen getting out of the SUV, approaching her “aggressively,” and shoving her into the passenger seat.The SUV sat in a parking lot with both occupants for more than four minutes, according to the affidavit.
According to the complaint, officers arrested him over the weekend after finding the GMC Terrain in a parking lot close to Cleotha Abston’s house in southeast Memphis. He was charged with tampering with evidence and particularly aggravating kidnapping. Abston, 38, is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, according to the jail.

She is described as White, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown hair and green eyes by the authorities. She weighs 137 pounds. She reportedly teaches junior kindergarten at St. Mary’s Episcopal School, per a tweet from the institution.
