Eric Robert Greitens is an American politician, author, and former Navy SEAL who served as Missouri’s 56th governor from January to December 2017. Greitens, who was born and reared in St. Louis, earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University in 1996 and a doctorate from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, in 2000 as a Rhodes scholar.
