Ethan Small is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022.
Brewers general manager Craig Counsell selected Small with the 28th overall choice in the 2019 MLB draft. A $1.8 million contract was reached.
After two games with the Arizona League Brewers, he was promoted to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, where he made his professional baseball debut.
He had a 0–2 record with a 0.86 ERA in seven starts for the two teams, striking out 36 in 21 innings. Due to the cancellation of the 2020 minor league season, he did not play a game.
Starting in 2020, Small was promoted to Nashville Sounds after playing in Biloxi for a season. A spot in the All-Star Futures Game was awarded to him that June. Small compiled a 4–2 record with a 1.98 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 77+1/3 innings of work in 2021.
