Professional football player Fabian Moreau is a cornerback for the National Football League’s New York Giants.
He played running back and wide receiver for Western High School in football. Coming out of high school, he was a 3-star recruit who made his commitment to play collegiate football for the UCLA Bruins.
He changed positions in college, going from running back to cornerback, and competed in college football there from 2012 to 2016. In 2013, his second year, he was a starter. He had three interceptions and 149 tackles during his college career. He also majored in political science and was twice named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
In the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Moreau with the 81st overall pick. He played in his first regular-season game as a professional in the Washington Redskins’ 17-30 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener. In March 2021, he agreed to a one-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons. In May 2022, he penned a deal with the Houston Texans.
In August, the Texans cut him loose. On September 5, 2022, Moreau was added to the practice squad of the New York Giants. He was elevated from the practice squad in time for the games against the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys in weeks two and three. On September 28, 2022, he was added to the Giants’ active roster.
