Freddie Freeman is a Canadian-American professional baseball player born in California on September 12, 1989, to Fred and Rosemary Freeman. His mom, Rosemary died when he was 10 years old.
Freddie currently serves as a first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. He played baseball back in high school as a third baseman and a pitcher for the El Modena High School.
The Atlanta Braves team drafted him right after high school. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2007 MLB draft. Although Freddie had plans to attend the California State University to play college baseball, he decided to start professional baseball thus he signed with the Braves for a signing bonus of $409,500.
After signing with them, he was made to play for the Gulf Coast Braves to make his professional debut, which he did. His contract with the Braves expired in 2021. The following year in March, he signed a six-year contract worth $162 million with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
