Stand-up comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried was known for his trademark screeching voice and fearless humor. He was the voice of Iago in ‘Aladdin,’ and he appeared in a number of films and television shows.

Gilbert Gottfried was born in the year 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. He began his stand-up career when he was 15 years old, and he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1980.

He rose to prominence after a series of memorable MTV promos, and he went on to star in a number of films, including Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) and The Aristocrats (1989). (2005).

Gottfried’s only season on Saturday Night Live, however, was a tremendous letdown. His performances were few and far between, and he and the show parted company at the conclusion of the year.

Gottfried’s star power began to rise in the late 1980s, thanks to a string of smaller roles in a range of films.

Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), Problem Child (1990), Problem Child 2 (1991), and The Adventures of Ford Fairlane are among his cinematic credits (1990). He appeared in the comedy documentary The Aristocrats in 2005.

In Disney’s animated feature Aladdin, he also performed the voice of Iago, the sardonic parrot (1992).
