Graham Paul Thorpe is a former English cricket player. He played for the England national team and the Surrey cricket team. Graham’s professional career began in 1988 when he played for Surrey. He started playing internationally in 1993.
Graham was born on August 1, 1969, in Farnham in the United Kingdom. In 1998, he was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year. In November 2000, during a match with Pakistan, he hit only one four in his hundred-plus seven threes, 12 twos and 51 singles.
Graham started having issues in his marriage in 2002 which greatly affected his career. He decided to retire from Test cricket in July 2005. In June 2006, he was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
He was made a summarise for BBC Radio’s Test Match Special programme during the first Test of India’s 2007 tour of England. Graham also wrote a monthly column for the UK-based cricket magazine, SPIN World Cricket Monthly.

Graham Thorpe has two brothers. His older brother is called Alan Thorpe. He was born on 18 October 1968. Alan Thorpe is a media commentator and also happens to be the founder of the popular radio show, The Marngrrok Footy Show which was aired in the 1990s.
Graham’s younger brother is Ian Thorpe. Ian was born on October 13 1982. He was a swimmer who won several gold medals at the World Championship event eleven times which made him the 5th highest number of gold medals male swimmer.
