Hoby Trey Milner is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Milwaukee Brewers. Milner also played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Tampa Bay Rays, and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Milner was a student at the R. L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Texas, and was taken in the 44th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft by the Washington Nationals. He did not sign and went on to play college baseball at the University of Texas at Austin.
Following his junior year, he was selected in the seventh round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Philadelphia Phillies.
After Milner was drafted by the Phillies, he was transferred and made his professional debut with the Low-A Williamsport Crosscutters in 2012, and he also played for the Single-A Lakewood BlueClaws, posting a 7-3 record and 2.50 ERA between the two teams
Milner pitched in Double-A for the Reading Fightin Phils in 2014, posting a 10-6 record and 4.21 ERA with 86 strikeouts.
In 30 outings for Reading and Clearwater in 2015, he went 2-1 with a 3.52 ERA. Milner pitched for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Reading Royals in 2016, going 5-4 with a 2.49 ERA in 49 games.
