Jesús Enrique Sánchez, a professional baseball outfielder with the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball, was born in the Dominican Republic on October 7, 1997. In 2020, he made his MLB debut.
Sánchez joined the Tampa Bay Rays in June 2014 as an international free agent. With the Dominican Summer League Rays, where he played the whole 2015 season after making his professional debut there, he hit.335/.382/.498 with four home runs and 45 RBIs in 61 games.
Sánchez joined the Charlotte Stone Crabs at the start of 2018. He represented the World team and was selected for the 2018 MLB Futures Game.
Sánchez hit.301/.331/.462 with ten home runs and 64 RBIs in 90 games to earn the title of Charlotte Stone Crabs MVP for the 2018 season.
Additionally, he hit.214 in 27 games for the Montgomery Biscuits towards the end of the season. After the 2018 season, the Rays added Sánchez to their 40-man roster. He started 2019 with Montgomery
Sánchez and Ryne Stanek were exchanged for Nick Anderson and Trevor Richards by the Miami Marlins on July 31, 2019. Sánchez was promoted to the top leagues on August 20, 2020. The following day, he started in the right field for the Washington Nationals in his major – debut.
Sánchez hit a 496-foot home shot against Ryan Feltner on May 30, 2022, at Coors Field, which was the longest home run since Nomar Mazara in 2019.
