Tova Borgnine, full name Tova Traesnaes Borgnine was a Norwegian-born American businesswoman who was into cosmetics and perfumes. She was the founder of Beauty by Tova cosmetics.
Tova was born in Oslo, Norway on November 17, 1941, Oslo, Norway. Her father was a graphic artist and her mother was a translator at the U.S. Embassy. Her parents dissolved their marriage when she was about eight years old. Her mother moved to the USA with her after she got divorced.
Throughout her lifetime, Nova was married twice. She first married a man called Louis A. Littleton who lived in New Jersey in 1965. The marriage ended in divorce after seven years. They had one child. It was during her first marriage that she opened a makeup centre but later moved the business to Las Vegas when the marriage ended.
A year after her divorce, she got remarried to Ernest Borgnine on February 24, 1973. Their marriage lasted until Ernest died in 2012.
Tova earned three nominations and awards in her line of business. The first was the FiFi Award for the Women’s Fragrance Star of the Year (Non-Store Venues) in 1998. In 2008, her fragrance, Tova Signature, was nominated for the 2008 Fragrance Hall of Fame FiFi Award and in June 2009, she received the Retailer of the Year award from the Fragrance Foundation.
How Did Tova Borgnine Die?
Tova began having health problems and minor illnesses getting to the end of 2021. In November 2021, she announced that she caught the weather flu. Unfortunately, she died on February 26, 2022. The exact cause of her death is not yet known. She was 80 years old.
