After the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bills signed Morris, then 22 years old, to their team as an undrafted free agent. When the Buffalo Bills play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Morris will provide the team with a third tight end option in addition to Tommy Sweeney and Reggie Gilliam.
Morris played as a tight end at Bowling Green University. Morris has 125 receptions for 1,529 yards and 13 touchdowns during his time at Bowling Green, where he played for four years.
During his first three years at Bowling Green, Morris played wide receiver for the Falcons. Morris’ head coach at Bowling Green lauded his willingness to make the switch, and the decision was commended by Morris himself.
How Good Is Quintin Morris?
At the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl, Quintin Morris was recognized as a high prospect for the position of tight end. Morris had a productive practice week and played well in the game. He finished the competition with 90 yards receiving and a hurdle that was reminiscent of Josh Allen’s.
There was speculation that Morris could get drafted as a result of his play at tight end during his senior year, his performance in the Senior Bowl, and his impressive pro day in which he ran a 40-yard dash in 4.66 seconds. In the end, he did not hear his name called at the 2021 selection, but shortly afterward, Buffalo expressed interest in signing him.
