Following season-ending hip surgery, Patriots running back James White is reportedly “doing terrific” in his recuperation. James White missed much of the 2021 NFL season due to a hip subluxation, but it seems he will soon be able to play again.

It is understandable that White is still limited at this point given that he is still recovering from the season-ending hip surgery he underwent.
Nevertheless, his participation in any manner at the team’s OTAs is encouraging.

Running back James Calvin White currently plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.Prior to being selected by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, he played college football for Wisconsin.

He broke both Super Bowl records for receptions and points scored in Super Bowl LI. He is mostly employed as a receiver. White and Darren Sproles holds the record for the most receptions in a playoff game.

White attended the St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When the Raiders played high school football, he played for them. He was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas squad that won the 2008 NCAA title.

White was chosen by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft (130th overall). He played in just three of the Patriots’ contests.

After becoming an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career in 2021, White will play his ninth season in New England. The 29-year-old has established himself as a dependable pass-catching option out of the Patriots’ backfield since being selected in the fourth round of the 2014 draft.

He played in his first NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. He had three carries for 21 yards and three receptions for 15 yards in the 41-14 defeat. White and the Patriots agreed to a two-year, $5 million contract extension on March 15, 2022.
