On their official website, Ajax announced that they have struck an agreement with Mohammed Kudus and FC Nordsjaelland about the transfer of the Ghanaian to Amsterdam.
The five-year contract that the versatile midfielder/attacker will sign has an expiration date of June 30, 2025, and will go into effect right away.
Kudus was born in Accra, Ghana, on August 2, 2000.
Kudus played for Nordsjaelland in 25 Super Liga games, starting 22 of them, and scored 11 goals.
In 2018, the 19-year-old transferred from the Ghanaian feeder club Right to Dream Academy to Nordsjaelland.
Kudus moved up to the senior team last year after representing Ghana at the U17 and U20 levels.
He scored on his senior team debut when the Black Stars defeated South Africa 2-0 in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier in November.
How Much Did Ajax Buy Kudus?
Kudus completed his transfer to Ajax, a club that plays in the Eredivisie, on July 16, 2020, for the sum of nine million euros (€9 million) and a contract that lasts for five years.
On September 20th, in a league match against RKC Waalwijk, he was given his first official opportunity to play for the club.
In the aftermath of the match, head coach Erik ten Hag referred to Kudus as a player with “great promise.”
