Matthew Harper (born November 26, 1984) is an American football coach who is now the San Francisco 49ers’ Assistant Special Teams Coach. He previously served as an assistant coach at City College of San Francisco, the Oregon Ducks, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was named First Team All-NorCal Conference and All-America in 2005.
He won Super Bowl LII with the Eagles in 2017. In 2021, he was named the San Francisco 49ers’ Assistant Special Teams Coach.
Harper started his undergraduate career at City College of San Francisco, where he played for two seasons. In 2006 and 2007, he transferred to Oregon and played defensive back for the Ducks.
