Who is Nick Jones
Nick Jones is in his second NFL season, his first as an offensive assistant with the Los Angeles Rams. Jones spent the 2020 season in the NFL as a Diversity Coaching Fellow with the Atlanta Falcons, where he worked with the offensive line.
He also completed the 2019 season at Colorado State University as the co-special team’s coordinator and tight ends coach.
The CSU special teams units improved significantly from the previous season, with a net punting rising from 88th to sixth nationally and punt return defense rising from 129th to 33rd. He was in charge of the punt and kickoff teams, and punter Ryan Stonehouse was chosen first-team all-conference.
He was the tight ends coach at The Air Force Academy, and from 2012 to 2018, he was the punt coordinator, offensive tackles, and tight ends coach at Central Carolina.
Jones was a four-year letterman at Georgia from 2003 to 2006, earning second-team All-SEC honors at the center, was appointed co-captain in 2006, and earned offensive MVP and the Coaches Leadership Award as a senior.
The Bowdon, Ga. native also received the Leon Farmer Strength and Conditioning Award and was named to the Academic Roundtable for his academic and athletic achievements.
Jones played with the Seattle Seahawks from 2007 to 2009 after completing his collegiate career, before beginning his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant at the University of Georgia in 2009.
