Jonathan Goldstein is a lawyer and businessman from the United Kingdom. He is the co-founder and CEO of Cain International, an international investment corporation.
Goldstein graduated from Ilford County High School and the University of Manchester in 1987 with a law degree.
He joined SJ Berwin, a global law company based in London, after graduating from law school.
In 1992, Goldstein joined Olswang LLP, where he rose to notoriety as a “wunderkind,” becoming a partner at the age of 28 and subsequently the youngest CEO of a London law company at the age of 32, according to firm founder Simon Olswang in a 2016 article.
Goldstein oversaw the company’s rapid global expansion and growth. During Goldstein’s tenure, Chambers and Partners named Olswang “the hippest legal firm in town” and awarded the firm “Law Firm of the Year” multiple times.
In May 2017, Goldstein was elected chair of the Jewish Leadership Council, for which he has been a strong spokesman and opponent of Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn in the media and while speaking at a demonstration outside Parliament in March 2018.
He is the Chairman of the Chief Rabbi of the Commonwealth’s United Hebrew Congregations Trust. He also serves on the Gerald & Gail Ronson Family Foundation’s board of trustees.
He lives in North West London and is the co-president of Camp Simcha, a non-profit organization that helps youngsters with mental health issues.
