Mino Raiola, a notable football agent, has tweeted that he is alive, in reaction to several rumors in Italy that he had died, which were then rehashed throughout other European media sources.

“Current health condition for anyone wondering: angry off a second time in 4 months they kill me,” the Italian-born Dutch citizen, one of football’s most prominent and high-earning agents, tweeted. They also appear to be able to resuscitate [sic].”

His comments came after Dr. Alberto Zangrillo of Milan’s San Raffaele hospital told Ansa: “I’m disturbed by the phone calls from pseudo-journalists speculating on the life of a guy struggling for his life.”

Raiola, whose clients include Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, and Zlatan Ibrahimović, is said to have been sick since January. In January, Raiola’s official account tweeted that he had had medical exams needing an anesthetic but had not undergone emergency surgery.

Raiola was born in Italy but raised in the Netherlands, and began his career in a football agency by working on the transaction that brought Dutch striker Bryan Roy from Ajax to Foggia, then serving as an interpreter in Dennis Bergkamp’s move from the Amsterdam club to Internazionale.

Pogba and Haaland are anticipated to make two of the most major signings this summer, with the Frenchman becoming a free agent when his contract with United expires and Haaland set to depart Borussia Dortmund. Manchester City is interested in signing the Norwegian striker.
