Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed was the second ruler of the UAE. He was the richest emirate of the U.A.E who controlled 97.8 billion barrels of oil reserves and run one of the largest sovereign wealth funds which are reportedly worth over $830 billion. Khalifa is one of the world’s wealthiest monarchs and is ranked fourth in the world with an estimated net worth of $15 billion.

He had commissioned the Azzam, which was the longest motor yacht ever built (590 ft) and cost $400-500 million. There are also reports that Khalifa had spent more than $2million on buying 66 acres of land on the Seychelles island where he had wanted to build his palace in 1995.

Sheikh Khalifa passed in the early hours of today, May,13,2022 after being the president for over a decade. He was 73 at the time of his death and currently, the cause of his death is not yet known. Khalifa had been born as the crown prince of the united Arab emirates and the eldest son of his father, thus he was born into massive wealth. However, he held very remarkable positions in the state before he was officially sworn in as the president on November 3, 2004, which was a  day after his father’s death.

He had been the prime minister, Minister of defense and finance and he has held the position of the deputy commander of the United Arab Emirates armed forces all in his father’s reign.
