Tyreek Hill is currently one of the wide receivers who plays for the Miami Dolphins team of the National Football League(NFL). After his amateur career in high school and college, Hill was projected to be undrafted during the 2016 NFL draft because he was arrested for domestic violence before the draft.
Due to this, he was not invited to the NFL Combine but he was still able to show his abilities at West Alabama’s Pro Day and even tho Scouts were impressed with his speed as he received much praise for his workouts, many teams had already removed him from their draft boards and were not ready to draft him.
During the 2016 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected picked him in the fifth round (165th overall) of the draft. He then became the first player from West Alabama to be drafted since 1974. The Chiefs were attacked by fans for selecting Hill due to his past issues with domestic violence.
The Chiefs still went ahead and signed him to a four-year contract worth $2.58 million and that included a $100,000 guaranteed and a signing bonus of $70,000. He played for the Chiefs up until March 2022 when the Chiefs traded him to the Miami Dolphins.
