It was a rare occurrence of two teammates accomplishing the feat in the same game, as it occurred only three batters after Kevin Newman, a member of the same club, had completed his own cycle with a home run.

Because of the performance of the two, the Indians prevailed over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs by a score of 12-5. On July 17, 2021, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off grand slam against Edwin Diaz, which resulted in a victory for the Pirates by a score of 9-7.

An incredible comeback victory was achieved by the Pirates, who scored all of their runs in the final two innings of the game. He took a swing of .236 with eight home runs and 53 RBIs while serving as the primary catcher for the Pirates throughout the season.
