On Monday, AEW star Jeff Hardy was arrested in Florida for felony DUI and other offenses. The allegations include a third drug- or alcohol-related DUI offense within ten years, driving with a suspended, canceled, or revoked license, and violating driving license restrictions, according to the Volusia County Corrections website.

The DUI accusation is a third-degree felony, according to Marc Middleton of WrestlingHeadlines.com, while the other two offenses are second-degree misdemeanors.

Hardy was still being held at the S. James Foxman Justice Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, as of Monday afternoon, and was due in court on Tuesday, according to Middleton.

Hardy, 44, is one of WWE’s most decorated stars, having been arrested numerous times for various reasons during his pro wrestling career, including DUI or DWI.

Hardy’s most recent arrest, prior to Monday, was for DWI in October of this year, while still under WWE contract. He had already been arrested three months prior for public intoxication and for DWI in March 2018.

Hardy worked for WWE on many occasions from 1998 to 2003, 2006 to 2009, and 2017 to 2021. Following escaping through the crowd after a six-man tag team bout at a home show in December, his most recent WWE tenure came to an end.

Matt Hardy, Jeff’s brother, later stated that Jeff turned down WWE’s invitation to go to treatment, resulting in his discharge. Matt stated that Jeff did not believe he needed rehabilitation at the time, and he agreed with the assessment.

In March, the three-time WWE world champion, five-time WWE intercontinental champion, and nine-time WWE tag team champion made his AEW debut by rescuing Matt from Andrade El Idolo and others.

Since then, Jeff and Matt have been working together, most recently defeating The Young Bucks in a tag team bout last month at Double or Nothing.

The Hardys had been scheduled to compete in a three-way ladder match against Jurassic Express and The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, but that match may now be in jeopardy.
