Jordon Scott Adell, an American outfielder, was born on April 8, 1999. He participates in Major League Baseball with the Los Angeles Angels. In 2020, he made his MLB debut.
For the 2017 Major League Baseball amateur draft, Adell was one of the top prospects. The Los Angeles Angels picked him as the tenth overall pick in the draft.
Adell began his professional career after signing a deal with the AZL Angels in June 2017. He was then promoted to the Orem Owlz after posting a batting line of.288/.351/.542 with four home runs, 21 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.
He played with Orem the rest of the season, recording 18 games with slash lines of.376/.413/.518 with one home run and nine RBIs.
Adell was promoted to the major leagues by the Angels on August 4, 2020. That evening against the Seattle Mariners, he made his major league debut, going 1-for-4.
Adell hit his first home run in the majors on August 29, 2020, off Justus Sheffield of the Seattle Mariners.
He blasted his second home run in the majors that night off of Aaron Fletcher. Adell had a successful debut season at the plate. 38 games with a 161/212/266 slash line, 3 home runs, and 7 RBIs.
Adell started the 2021 season with Salt Lake City of the triple-A level. On August 2, he was promoted to the elite leagues. He went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs, and a stolen base against the Texas Rangers the next day.
Adell hit his first grand slam of his career on August 17 against the Detroit Tigers. Adell took part in 35 games with at bats. 26 RBIs and a slash line of 246.295.208.
