John Joseph Ricketts (born July 16, 1941) is an American businessman and philanthropist who is well-known for his charitable work.

He is the founder, former CEO, and former chairman of the financial services firm TD Ameritrade.  According to Forbes, he has a net worth of US$2.7 billion as of 2019.

Besides, High Plains Bison, The Lodge at Jackson Fork, and The American Film Company, he has undertaken a range of other commercial endeavors.
