Joe Salisbury, who was born in the United Kingdom on 20 April 1992, is a professional tennis player who is presently ranked first in the world in the doubles event.
He has won men’s doubles at the Australian Open and the US Open, both in 2020 and 2021, making him a four-time winner of a Grand Slam tournament.
His partner in those victories was Rajeev Ram. In the mixed doubles competition, Salisbury and Desirae Krawczyk won both the 2021 French Open and the 2021 United States Open championships.
In addition, he came in second place at the 2021 Australian Open in the men’s doubles competition and at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships in the mixed doubles competition, each time partnering with Ram or Harriet Dart.
Following in the footsteps of Jamie and Andy Murray, Salisbury achieved the status of world No. 1 in either the singles or doubles competitions in April 2022.
