Joe Salisbury is a British professional tennis player who is currently ranked world No. 1 in doubles.
He has won men’s doubles at the Australian Open and the US Open, both in 2020 and 2021, making him a four-time winner of a Grand Slam tournament. His partner in those victories was Rajeev Ram.
In the mixed doubles competition, Salisbury and Desirae Krawczyk won both the 2021 French Open and the 2021 United States Open titles.
In addition, he came in second place at the 2021 Australian Open in the men’s doubles competition and at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships in the mixed doubles competition, each time partnering with Ram or Harriet Dart.
Following in the footsteps of Jamie and Andy Murray, Salisbury achieved the status of world No. 1 in either the singles or doubles competitions in April of 2022.
On the ATP Tour, he has won nine doubles titles, the most notable of which are the 2021 Canadian Open and the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters. Additionally, in 2021, he finished in second place at both the Italian Open and the ATP Finals.
Salisbury was selected to represent Great Britain in the Davis Cup for the first time in 2021. He also participated in the Olympic Games in 2020 alongside Andy Murray.
