Professional football player Jonathan Ward is a running back for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals. He is 1.83 m tall and 92 kg in weight. He attended Bishop McNamara High School, where he participated in football. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Central Michigan University and joined the Central Michigan Chippewas football team as a college player.
He played for four seasons with the Central Michigan Chippewas, finishing his collegiate career with 2,539 yards and 28 touchdowns on 473 runs and 98 receptions for 909 yards and four more. In April 2020, the Arizona Cardinals signed Ward as an undrafted free agent. As part of the team’s final roster cuts, he was released on September 5, 2020, and the next day he was re-signed to the practice squad.
He was added to the Cardinals’ active roster on September 26, 2020, and the following day, he took the field in his first NFL contest. He was demoted to the practice squad following the game before being promoted again on October 3, 2020. He was elevated to the active roster on October 6, 2020. In Week 17 of the 2020 season, Ward made his first career reception, which led to a score of eleven yards.
