Josh Sills, also known as Joshua Matthew Sills, is an offensive guard for the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles in American football. Born on January 26, 1998, he spent his formative years in Sarahsville, Ohio. He played football there while he was a student at Byesville’s Meadowbrook High School. He was a student at the University of West Virginia and redshirted his first year.
He participated in 13 games as a freshman in 2017 and started 10 of them. With 13 knockdown blocks, he led the squad and played on 681 plays. In 2018, he made 12 starts, participated in 970 plays, and was awarded second-team All-Big 12 Conference at the end of the campaign.
Sills moved to Oklahoma State University for the 2020 season and started every game. As a senior, he was chosen as the team captain and led Oklahoma State with 41 knockdown blocks and 21 pancake blocks, respectively. He was selected for the Big 12’s first team for the second year in a row because to this effort. He was also nominated for the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year award, but he was unsuccessful.
He was not selected in the 2022 NFL draft, but the Philadelphia Eagles nonetheless decided to sign him as an undrafted free agent. He was one of three undrafted 2022 players, along with Reed Blankenship and Josh Jobe, to make the Eagles’ final roster.
