The Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League’s offensive line are led by offensive guard Joshua Matthew Sills, also known as Josh Sills in the professional sphere. In Ohio’s Sarahsville, where he was raised, he was born on January 26, 1998. He participated in football at Byesville’s Meadowbrook High School, where he also attended. He studied at West Virginia University, where he redshirted his freshman year.
In 2017, he took part in 13 games as a freshman, starting 10 of them. His 13 knockdown blocks were the most on the squad and he played on 681 snaps. At the conclusion of the 2018 season, he was selected second-team All-Big 12 Conference after starting 12 games, participating in 970 plays, and seeing action.
To play at Oklahoma State University in 2020, Sills made the transfer. He started all 11 games that year and was selected to the first team of the Big 12 Conference. He was elected team captain as a senior and led Oklahoma State in knockdown blocks (41 of them) and pancake blocks (21 of them), receiving first-team All-Big 12 honors for the second year in a row.
He also garnered a number of votes for Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, but he was unsuccessful in winning the honor. The Philadelphia Eagles later signed him as an undrafted free agent after he was passed over in the 2022 NFL Draft. Along with Reed Blankenship and Josh Jobe, he was one of three selected in 2022.
