In 2010, Warrington won every one of the three of his battles, overcoming Danny McDermid (0-1), John Riley (0-0), and Youssef Al Hamidi (7-27-2), winning each of his four-round challenges by focuses choice.

In the main portion of 2012, Warrington crushed Dan Naylor (1-8) and Ibrar Riyaz (4-34-1) by focus choice.
In November, Warrington came out on top for his first expert championship after he crushed the already unbeaten Dudley-conceived prospect Chris Male (11-0) by consistent choice in a ten-round challenge to come out on top for the empty English featherweight championship. The battle occurred at the Venue in Dudley on 9 November.
