Josh Winder is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Minnesota Twins in Major League Baseball. He was born on October 11, 1996, in the United States (MLB).
Winder had his high school education at James River High School, which is located in Midlothian, Virginia. He then went on to play collegiate baseball at the Virginia Military Institute.
During the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, the Minnesota Twins chose him in the seventh round to join their organization.
Winder made his debut in the professional ranks with the Elizabethton Twins, and he finished the 2019 season playing for the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
Because the minor league season in 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 epidemic, he did not participate in any games for any of the leagues that year.
Winder began the 2021 season playing with the Wichita Wind Surge, but he was later traded to the St. Paul Saints in the middle of the year. In June of 2021, Winder received notification that he will be participating in the All-Star Futures Game.
Over the course of 14 starts for both clubs, Winder compiled a record of 4–0 with a 2.63 earned-run average and 80 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched. On November 19, 2021, at the conclusion of the season, Winder was chosen to be included in the 40-man roster.
