Turner once played for the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Mets in Major League Baseball. He was a member of the Cal State Fullerton Titans in college baseball.
The Cincinnati Reds drafted him in the seventh round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft, and he made his major league debut in 2009.
