Juwan Antonio Howard is an American former professional basketball player and current head coach of the Michigan Wolverines men’s team.
He was an assistant coach for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association from 2013 to 2019. Howard played in the NBA from 1994 until 2013.
Born on February 7, 1973 (age 49 years), Chicago, Illinois, United States of America, Juwan is a one-time All-Star and one-time All-NBA power forward, he began his NBA career as the fifth overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft, selected by the Washington Bullets.

Juwan Howard Parents: Meet Leroy Watson Jr. and Helena Watson
Juwan’s parents are Leroy Watson Jr. and Helena Watson. His grandmother Jannie Mae Howard, was the daughter of sharecroppers from Belzoni, Mississippi.
Helena was an employee at a Chicago restaurant when she became pregnant with Juwan.
Howard’s father, Leroy Watson, had just returned from the Army to a phone company job in Chicago. The two married quickly once they realized Helena was pregnant.
