Tennis player Karen Abgarovich Khachanov is from Russia. Four ATP Tour singles championships, including a Masters 1000 crown at the 2018 Paris Masters, have been won by him. On July 15, 2019, after making it to the quarterfinals of the 2019 French Open, he reached his all-time best singles ranking of No. 8 in the world.

In July 2013, he triumphed in Switzerland to win the Under-18 European Championship. At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, he and Andrey Rublev took home a silver medal in the doubles competition. Brazil’s Orlando Luz and Marcelo Zormann won the championship, and they were defeated. He reached the third round for the third consecutive year at the Australian Open in 2021.

He competed in two semifinals, losing to eventual champion Jannik Sinner at the 2021 Great Ocean Road Open’s lead-up tournament for the Australian Open and Cameron Norrie at the 2021 Lyon Open’s clay-court warm-up tournament for the French Open. He twice made it to the fourth round of the Wimbledon Championships in 2021. At the Rotterdam Open in February, he participated.
